Gradi lands midfielder

Crewe Alexandra have signed Coventry City midfielder Isaac Osbourne on loan.

Crewe Alexandra have signed Coventry City midfielder Isaac Osbourne on a month's loan.

The 20-year-old arrives at Gresty Road to boost Gradi's central midfield options following suspensions and injuries in his ranks.

Gary Roberts is currently suspended, while fellow midfielders Michael O'Connor (knee) and Tony Grant (achilles) are sidelined through injury.

After making just one substitute appearance for The Sky Blues this season, Osbourne has opted to move to the Cheshire outfit in order to get regular first-team football.

The midfielder will also be available to appear against Manchester United when The Railwaymen face the Premiership giants in the Carling Cup third round next Wednesday.

"Isaac will get the opportunity to play a few games here, which he hasn't been doing at Coventry recently," Gradi told the club's official website.

Meanwhile, defender David McNamee will be sidelined for up to six weeks after tearing his hamstring in Tuesday's 1-0 defeat at Wolverhampton Wanderers.
