Andrew Whing is hoping to join Brighton & Hove Albion permanently at the end of his loan spell.
The full-back is staying with The Seagulls until 1st January when he will return to parent club Coventry City.
He has impressed during his time on the South Coast and admits he would welcome the chance to stay with the League One club.
"I think (assistant manager) Dean White is going to speak to Micky Adams this week," Whing told the Brighton Argus.
"I am very happy here. I am playing games, we are playing really well and everybody has been great to me.
"At Coventry I was in and out of the team and I don't really want to be doing that again.
"I've had a couple of years of that and I am at a stage of my career now where I need to be playing games.
"Brighton have made that possible and hopefully I can stay here and continue to do that."
