City consider action against duo

Adrian Heath admits Robert Page and Michael Doyle could be sacked by Coventry.

Caretaker boss Adrian Heath has admitted  Robert Page and Michael Doyle could be sacked as a result of their training ground punch-up.

Heath says both men will face disciplinary action for their part in the incident.

Skipper Page and vice-captain Doyle have been given time off to clear their heads and will not figure in Tuesday's Championship clash with Luton.

"I don't want to elaborate too much on what's gone on but I have made the decision that both players won't be involved tonight," Heath told the Coventry Telegraph.

"They have both had two or three days off to clear their heads and we will have a better picture after the match.

"There will be disciplinary action and people can rest assured we will be taking the appropriate steps.

"It could be a sacking offence, it could not be. We will sit down with them over the next few days."

Heath said he considered playing both men against Luton but decided they would not be in the right frame of mind for such an important match.

"They are both pretty remorseful at the moment and they have been disappointed with what has happened, but we have to get on with our work," he added.
