The FA is investigating an incident between QPR defender Jack Robinson and Wolves forward Diogo Jota on Saturday, Sky sources understand.

The off-the-ball clash between the pair occurred in the second half of the Sky Bet Championship clash at Molineux.

League leaders Wolves were 2-1 winners against Ian Holloway's side after early goals from Alfred N'Diaye and Helder Costa. Northern Ireland international Conor Washington scored QPR's reply six minutes into the second half.

Jota has scored 12 goals in 31 Championship appearances for Wolves this season.

The on-loan Atletico Madrid forward will join Wolves, who are 12 points clear of second-placed Aston Villa, on a permanent basis in July.

Jota is familiar to Wolves head coach Nuno Espirito Santo, having also played under him when Nuno was in charge at Porto last season.
