The 27-year-old has extended his stay at Loftus Road until 2005 and is looking forward to another crack at promotion next term.
Day suffered play-off heartbreak with Rangers last term after being beaten in extra time by Cardiff City, but is determined to erase that memory with Ian Holloway's men this coming term.
"After the disappointment of Cardiff I'm delighted to sign a new deal and focus all my attentions on trying to get Rangers up," Day told the club's website.
"We had a few things to sort out, but it's all done now and I'm really looking forward to the new season.
"I reckon we can take some positives from the Cardiff experience - it showed we are good enough to challenge and hopefully we will do so again.
"But we will need to put in a lot of hard work, and although some might expect us to walk the league we just need to take each game as it comes and not get over-ambitious."
Holloway was equally thrilled that his keeper has pledged his future to the club to help them achieve promotion back to Division One.
"I'm absolutely delighted to have Chris with us for another two years. He recovered from a career-threatening injury and he has been fantastic for us," added Hollway.
