Ainsworth joined on a free transfer earlier this month, while Sabin and Rowlands also arrived on Bosman free transfer deals during the off-season.
Rowlands, formerly of Brentford, won special praise from Holloway for his hard work in training.
"Martin Rowlands has been exceptional in his drive to get fully fit again and I am very, very pleased with him," said Holloway.
"It's what he's been doing in training that I have really liked. He looks a quality player - very exciting."
While Rowlands has been the stand-out for The R's, the contribution of all three has helped erase the painful memories of last season.
The Loftus Road side were just one match from promotion to the First Division, but lost their play-off final 1-0 to Cardiff in the Millennium Stadium.
"All three players have helped the squad already with their attitude and their attitude towards work," added Holloway.
"They all bring different attributes to the squad.
"Hopefully they will settle in to their stride very quickly and become an integral part of what we are trying to achieve here.
"It's all about character and all three bring that in bundles to the squad which helps to add to the air of optimism after what happened last season."
Meanwhile, the club have handed a trial to former Derby County striker Marvin Robinson, who recently had a brief spell with Barnsley.
