The 23-year-old has spent a month at the clinic founded by former Arsenal and England star Tony Adams and has made sufficient progress to return to Loftus Road and resume his playing career.
The former Blackpool star admitted that he had a problem back in September and Rangers boss Ian Holloway immediately backed his player, saying that they had no intention of selling him because of his problems.
Treatment went well at the clinic and Carlisle has met his 28-day discharge date and appears to be ready to go and repay the faith shown in him by the Rangers management.
It is not known whether Carlisle will be fit enough to be included in Holloway's squad for the weekend encounter with Brentford at Loftus Road.
