Martin Rowlands has signed a new contract with Queens Park Rangers.
Martin Rowlands has signed a new contract at Queens Park Rangers, with the midfielder citing the arrival of manager John Gregory as crucial in his decision to commit until 2008.
The 27-year-old's existing deal was due to expire at the end of the current campaign, and, after lengthy talks, has now put pen-to-paper on a new two-year contract.
Rowlands moved to Loftus Road from Brentford in 2003, and is delighted to extend his association further - particularly given the optimism accompanying Gregory's appointment.
"I feel at home here and, with John Gregory coming in, it's great to be part of a new era," he said.
"The new manager was keen for me to put pen-to-paper as soon as possible, so now it is up to me to repay the faith he has shown in me.
"I've signed for a further two years, and I couldn't be happier."
Gregory's reign got off to the perfect start last Saturday, with the Championship strugglers claiming a 2-0 win over Hull.
