Simon Walton is making steady progress towards playing for QPR again as he recovers from a cruel leg-break.
The midfielder moved to Loftus Road from Charlton in the summer but then suffered a fractured fibula in the pre-season friendly against Fulham.
He has yet to make his competitive debut for Rangers but club physio Paul Hunter revealed he is coming on and medical staff are monitoring his progress.
Hunter said: "The fracture has healed well and Simon is making steady progress.
"We are at the stage now where we are assessing him on a weekly basis."
Meanwhile, QPR's teenage on-loan winger Hogan Ephraim is uncertain as to where his future will lie.
The 19-year-old has agreed a third and final month with Rangers on loan from West Ham, where he is contracted until the end of the season.
"I've only got this season left at West Ham and nothing has been talked about so far," he told QPR's official website.
"I go back to West Ham on 6th November, and whether West Ham and QPR come to an agreement, or West Ham and another club, I'm not too sure yet."
