QPR players urged to follow West Brom's example against Chelsea

Nedum Onuoha believes QPR are involved in a mini-league of their own in their fight to avoid a quick return to the Championship. The former Manchester City player, who joined the R's in January, reckons they can forget the rest of the teams in the division and focus on Blackburn, Wolves, Bolton and Wigan who also face relegation. His side are hovering just above the Premier League the drop zone on goal difference with a run-in that includes trips to Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester City on the last day of the season. Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham all visit Loftus Road too, but Onuoha believes West Brom's victory against Chelsea on Saturday, that cost boss Andre Villas-Boas his job, shows they should not fear anyone in their final games of the season.

struggle

"It doesn't matter who you're playing against," Onuoha told the club's website. "At the end of the day, everyone's got something to play for. "If you just decide, going into a game, that they're probably going to win because they're a better team, then you're going to struggle. "As West Brom showed on Saturday, anything's possible in this league. They're not too far ahead of us, and they still went ahead and beat Chelsea. They were probably deserved winners. "I called it a 'mini league' a few weeks ago and it is that at the minute. Everyone has to start winning games, that's the priority for all of the five sides down there. "But fortunately the one thing that you can say has been consistent about the other four is the fact that they've not put too many wins together. "Whoever can get the most wins between now and the end of the season will prove to be champions of the mini league."
