Stoke City boss Tony Pulis has accepted Cameron Jerome's claims that the striker has not been given enough opportunities this season.
Jerome came off the bench to score the equaliser in Tuesday's 1-1 draw with Everton - his eighth goal of the campaign in all competitions.
He has made 35 appearances for the Potters this season, but many of those have been from the bench, having failed to start as many games as Jonathan Walters and Peter Crouch.
The former Birmingham striker kept his place in the team when he last scored and will be hoping to be given a chance from the start against Queens Park Rangers on Sunday.
After his solo effort against the Toffees, Jerome asserted that he had "not been given a fair crack of the whip", and it is a sentiment that does not faze Pulis.
He said: "I'd be very disappointed if he said he was happy. Cam works his socks off and he's got a right to his opinion, and that's the same with everybody else.
"He wants to play and rightly so, they all want to play. But (Peter) Crouch and (Jon) Walters have done well this year. They've been my preferred two. You have to pick it the way you think is right."
