Mark Hughes has regretted a slow start that left his Queens Park Rangers side with too much to do at The Hawthorns.
Taarabt scored in a losing cause for the second consecutive game, but aspects of QPR's display did please Hughes. He added: "Two-nil down away, it's nigh-on impossible to get back but credit to us for getting back with a great goal from Adel Taarabt, who I thought was excellent. "We needed to address a few things and I thought we were much better in the second half, engaging people better, getting on the front foot and getting in front of people. For the vast majority of the game I thought we were in control of it."
