QPR boss Harry Redknapp does not see Liverpool as a credible Premier League title challenger this season.

Redknapp's side welcome the Reds to Loftus Road on Sunday looking for a positive result to lift them off the bottom of the table.

But, at the other end, he does not believe Brendan Rodgers' men will be capable of matching their performance last season when, inspired by Luis Suarez, they went in to the closing three matches as title favourites.

They have already suffered three defeats this season, and with Daniel Sturridge back on the sidelines with a fresh injury they are struggling badly for goals.

Jamie Redknapp previews the Premier League game between QPR and Liverpool.

"I thought they were great last year," said Redknapp, who also labelled Liverpool as one of 'the best clubs in the world'.

"When they beat Man City I was sure they would win the league, then Chelsea went there and did a job on them and it took it away from them. I thought overall they deserved to win it last year.

"They have lost the fourth best player in the world in Suarez and it is difficult to replace him but they have got lots of good players there. Again, they are bedding in new players and it takes time.

Harry Redknapp says he is not worried about signing a new contract and is just concentrating on getting QPR back to winning ways.

Redknapp's own future at Loftus Road has been in the spotlight because of their slow start to the season, but the club's owner Tony Fernandes offered him more public backing on Twitter on Saturday morning.

With a picture of Redknapp holding up a restaurant bill attached, he wrote: "Just to prove Harry paid for dinner last night haha good chat, positive. We got to give it a go whatever the result.

"We all stick together, unity is key, and get behind the boys tomorrow. I maintain we got good players, we are QPR. Harry is up for it.

"We are in the best league In the world. We are 7 games in. We are bottom but not many points in it. We got good spirit in squad."
