Kenny Jackett has confirmed Wolves have rejected a Norwich bid for striker Benik Afobe.
The Canaries made their move before Wolves' 3-2 loss to QPR on Wednesday but their offer has been instantly dismissed, according to Jackett.
Afobe scored his third goal of the season as Wolves blew a 2-0 lead at Molineux as Matty Phillips' second-half double capped Rangers' fightback on Wednesday.
Wolves issued a strongly-worded statement before the game to reiterate the striker will be staying at Molineux and Jackett confirmed Norwich's bid had been turned down.
He said: "They have (made a bid) and it has been turned down and not encouraged whatsoever. We're not looking to sell our best players and within two weeks of the window closing we're looking to build.
"We don't encourage future bids. We're not looking to sell our best players.
"At the moment we're not interested, we don't want to negotiate, it was turned down flat.
"Benik has been very good and was a threat. Any conversation we had before the game was about the football."
Kevin McDonald added to Afobe's opener to put Wolves in control inside the first 25 minutes before they fell away after Charlie Austin started QPR's fightback.
Jackett added: "We had good control of the game and a 2-0 lead. QPR came back into it quickly and got the goal before half-time but the two goals in the second half were disappointing defensively."
Rangers would have been dead and buried without Phillips, who proved his Premier League pedigree with his double, while he also created Austin's goal.
He is still wanted by West Brom - with striker Austin also tipped to leave before the transfer deadline - and Rangers boss Chris Ramsey hopes he will be able to keep hold of him.
He said: "Matty is a matchwinner on his day and he is someone who will always need marking.
"I'm really hoping we will have him but no one can tell, people make knee-jerk reactions and spend money they don't have.
"I hope that will add another zero.
"I thought we showed a lot of resilience after we were quite poor in the first 20 minutes, we were pleased we kept it down to two.
"I am very pleased with the respect Matt and Charlie have shown the club, they have been very professional in the way they have conducted themselves.
"Charlie is fitter now than the opening day and his hold-up play has answered a few questions people have."
