Newell has worked wonders at Kenilworth Road and has guided The Hatters to the edge of the Championship play-off zone, after winning League One last season.
His exploits have seen him regularly linked with other posts, most recently the vacant Leicester City position.
Though Luton are determined to keep Newell at the helm, the former Foxes striker has admitted to being in touch with another side.
He did not name Leicester as his suitors, but Newell acknowledged that he is flattered to be coveted by other teams.
"I have been contacted by a club, but I haven't been offered any job," said Newell. "I'm in a job at the moment and that's what I'm concentrating on.
"It's flattering; it means that they're looking at what's been going on here in the last two to three years and they're impressed by it.
"But we've still got a lot to do here and I'm fully committed to it and I'm concentrating on the job.
"Until anyone says 'we want you to be our manager' I don't have to think about it.
"If Liverpool offered me the job tomorrow I'd be gone from here, but until that happens I really don't know and I don't have to think about it."
Meanwhile, Newell has continued his tirade against agents by blaming Enoch Showunmi's representative for the striker's failure to sign a new contract.
Showunmi's present deal expires in the summer and Newell pinpointed the reason for the inability to reach agreement on an extension.
He said: "His agent is getting involved. A new deal has been on the table for two months, but we cannot afford the agent's demands."
