Pearson continues to raid transfer market

Leicester City welcome another new face to the Walkers Stadium after signing Nicky Adams from Bury. The midfielder becomes Nigel Pearson's third signing of the summer after Michael Morrison and Lloyd Dyer also agreed to join the League One club on Tuesday. The 21-year-old has signed a three-year contract with the Foxes and leaves Bury after an impressive 2007/08 season saw him grab 13 goals in 49 appearances. The only issue left to finalise is the transfer fee to be paid, although if the two clubs fail to reach an agreement then a price will be set by a tribunal.

Versatile

"Nicky is a player who I like a lot and I am delighted to have been able to bring him here," Pearson told Leicester's official website. "He can play anywhere across the middle of the park and has got a real eye for goal. I see him very much as a player with a big future ahead of him." Adams is a product of the youth academy at Gigg Lane and progressed through the ranks at Bury until he was handed his first-team debut in 2007. He adapted quickly to life among the professional ranks and has been rewarded for a number of eye-catching displays with a regular place in the Wales U21 squad.
