The agent of Swindon's Simon Cox has offered an indication that the striker wants to join Celtic after claiming the SPL outfit and Leicester have had bids rejected.
Foxes chairman Milan Mandaric has confirmed that the forward, who scored 32 goals this season, is a transfer target, while Robins manager Danny Wilson admits the player could leave.
Reports have suggested that Leicester and Celtic have failed in attempts to capture Cox, and the claims of the player's representative - Alex Cowdy - have added weight to the speculation.
Swindon are eager to keep hold of their star asset, who is understood to be valued at £2.5million by chairman Andrew Fitton, but it appears they could be fighting a losing battle, with Cowdy hinting that a move to Scotland would appeal.
He said: "As far as I understand, there have been two offers put to Swindon that have been rejected - an offer from Celtic and an offer from Leicester City.
"The Swindon chairman has come out in the press and said that Simon remains a Swindon player and it's going to take something special to get him away from the club and I think he values Simon at around £2.5million.
"But Simon has made no secret that he would like to play at the highest level and Celtic come into that bracket."
