Agent claims interest from England and Germany

Gokhan Inler's agent has hit back at Napoli after claims they wanted somebody 'stronger' than him. The Udinese midfielder, a previous target for Arsenal, was strongly linked with a move to Naples. But Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis said he would not take Inler "but a stronger player". However, Inler's agent Dino Lamberti insists that Napoli have not even been an option for the Swiss ace. "I don't think that Inler will go to Napoli, I have never had contact with them and I never called," Lamberti told Tuttomercatoweb. "There is no interest on our part to go there, Napoli is not the first objective for Inler." Lamberti insisted that bigger clubs in England and Germany, with more financial power, were interested. "I think this club is unable to meet the economic needs of Inler. It is impossible for them to please him," he said - refusing to rule out possible interest from Manchester City. "Manchester City? The boy is interested in England and Germany. And the wages offered by those clubs would be impossible for Napoli to pay."
