Fulham have been in flying form in 2018 and while Ryan Sessegnon has drawn plenty of plaudits, team-mate Fredericks features at right-back in the team of the month. The defender chipped in with five key passes, one of which resulted in an assist in a 2-0 win over Aston Villa, while 12 tackles and interceptions contributed to a WhoScored.com rating of 7.4.
The highest-rated Championship player in February, with a WhoScored.com rating of 8.2, Morrison was exceptional at the heart of the Cardiff defence. He bagged three goals and won more aerial duels (52) than any other player in the division last month to maintain the Bluebirds' promotion push.
Partnering Morrison in defence is Ipswich centre-back Chambers, who earned a WhoScored.com rating of 7.7. The 32-year-old netted in the Old Farm Derby draw with Norwich and ranked in the top five for clearances (51) and aerial duels won (38) in February.
The second of three Cardiff players to make the cut, Traore scored one and assisted another in wins over Leeds and Bolton as he made an immediate impact following his arrival from Nottingham Forest. An additional 11 interceptions helped earn a WhoScored.com rating of 7.9.
Rounding off the Bluebirds contingent is winger Hoilett. The Canadian scored two and assisted two for promotion-hunting Cardiff, while nine key passes and 16 successful dribbles contributed to the wideman's WhoScored.com rating of 7.7.
Norwich sensation Maddison features in the top performing Championship XI for February with a WhoScored.com rating of 7.8. No player made more key passes than the Canaries creator (14), who also ranked highly for successful dribbles (19), with a goal and an assist rounding off another impressive month.
Like Maddison, Freeman also scored one and assisted one in February. The QPR man finished February level on key passes with Maddison, on 14, and placed among the top five for successful dribbles (20) last month to gain a WhoScored.com rating of 7.7.
Completing the midfield is Middlesbrough speedster Traore, who has excelled under Tony Pulis. The winger earned a WhoScored.com rating of 7.8 last month having completed more dribbles (34) than any other Championship player, all the while chipping in with two goals and one assist.
Joao has come on leaps and bounds in recent weeks and ended February with a WhoScored.com rating of 7.5. The Owls forward scored more goals (4) than any other Championship player in February, with that return coming off just 11 shots on goal.
Smith enjoyed a commendable month for QPR having scored two and assisted two more in February to help return a WhoScored.com rating of 7.5. Smith was a constant menace on the QPR frontline, winning the second most aerial duels (49) in England's second tier.
