Tom Bradshaw is considering handing in a transfer request in order to force through his exit from Barnsley, according to Sky sources.
The striker's relationship with the club is understood to have broken down irretrievably over their failure to let him leave Oakwell so far this summer.
Bradshaw was understood to have been told he was surplus to requirements at the end of the season and promised he would be allowed to leave for a suitable offer.
Millwall, whom Sky Sports News reported earlier this week were in advanced talks with Barnsley, are understood to have made an offer for the player this week.
The 25-year-old has one year left on his contract. Reading and Hull City have also been interested in his services.
He scored 10 goals in 43 appearances in all competitions last season.
