Celtic keeper Barry John Corr and Rangers striker Steven MacLean have both arrived at Oakwell on trial, with a view to earning contracts at the club.
Corr, 22, has had limited playing time with The Bhoys and could move to South Yorkshire if he impresses Thordarson (pictured) during his week at the club.
First-team coach Ronnie Glavin told the club's official website: "Barry will be here all week so we can take a look at him.
"It is too early to judge after one session but he has done all right today."
Like Corr, 20-year-old MacLean, who has made four first-team appearances for Rangers, will spend the week on trial at Oakwell.
And the youngster certainly has the right attitude for success.
"Steven looked all right in training this morning," Glavin added. "He is a finisher and is obviously trying hard to impress."
Icelandic international Brynjar Gunnarsson has now arrived at the club and will start training with the rest of the squad. He joins the three other new faces on the training ground - Peter Handyside, Tom Cowan and Tony Gallimore.
