Magpies trial ex-Leeds man

Notts County have handed a trial to former Leeds United striker Damien Reeves.

Notts County have handed a trial to former Leeds United youngster Damien Reeves.

The 19-year-old striker is looking for pastures new after being released by The Whites at the end of last season.

Trials at Scarborough, Barnsley and Stockport County last season proved unsuccessful for Reeves and the teenager has now opted to have a run-out with Gudjon Thordarson's side.

Reeves will appear in County's reserves at Chesterfield this week, in the hope of impressing the League Two club.

One player that has left Meadow Lane is defender Emmet Friars after he joined non-league side AFC Telford United on a month's loan this week.
