The 19-year-old has risen through the ranks at Oakwell and has clearly made a positive impression on manager Andy Ritchie.
Heslop was farmed out on loan to Kidderminster last term, but will get the chance to shine in Yorkshire after putting his name to a two-year deal.
Barnsley will be plying their trade in The Championship next term after securing promotion via the play-offs and Heslop will look to seize his chance.
