Millers snub Hoskins bid

Rotherham United have rejected a bid for striker Will Hoskins.

Rotherham United have rejected a bid for Will Hoskins and will allow Barnsley target Lee Williamson to determine his own future.

Hoskins is among the brightest prospects in the lower leagues and has scored 16 goals for Rotherham this season.

He has been linked with Ipswich Town, although The Millers have not revealed which club submitted an offer for the 20-year-old.

Williamson, meanwhile, is the subject of a £200,000 bid from Barnsley, but no decision has been made on his situation.

Millers boss Alan Knill confirmed the interest in his players, praising Williamson's dedication in the process.

"There's been a lot of talk about Williamson and Hoskins," Knill told the club's official website.

"Barnsley have put in a bid for Lee, but I don't think we would be in a rush to let him go there, but the decision lies with Lee.

"The good thing about Williamson is that when he puts a shirt on for Rotherham he plays for Rotherham, and he has no other thoughts and hopefully that continues.

"We have had an offer for Will, but it was one the board did not think was the right amount."

Knill also confirmed that Scott Wiseman will stay on loan from Hull City for a further month, but Dave Hibbert has returned to Preston North End.
