Port Vale have completed the signing of Crewe striker Luke Rodgers, despite the fact Leon Constantine's move to Barnsley has fallen through.

Constantine had looked all set for a switch to Oakwell when the two clubs concurred on a fee, with Marc Richards proposed to head in the opposite direction, but after meeting with Barnsley officials the 18-goal striker failed to agree personal terms.
"Leon's deal fell through at Barnsley's end so he will be back in training on Wednesday with the kids," Vale manager Martin Foyle told the club's official website.
"He will be involved in Saturday's game against Northampton in some capacity, depending on his frame of mind.
"I will sit down and have a talk with him and assess the situation."
That has not, though, stopped Foyle from making a move for Rodgers, with a £30,000 deal having now been completed for the striker who cost Crewe £100,000 just eight months ago.
"I am delighted Luke is on his way," he added.
"We needed fresh blood up front and he is different from what we have already got.
"He is small, aggressive and mobile and is just what we have been looking for and we feel at £30,000 we have got a good deal for a player who Crewe paid £100,000 for eight months ago."
One player to leave Vale Park is striker Louis Briscoe.
"His attitude has been spot on, but Louis hasn't made the improvements we had hoped for in the reserves this season," Foyle said.
"We have decided to let him go so he can stand a chance of finding another club and we will be trying very hard to help him."
