If Wroe impresses for The Shakers, then he will sign a loan deal with Chris Casper's side.
Wroe has struggled to make an impact at Oakwell this season, after making his debut for the first team almost four years ago.
He has made just three substitute appearances in the Championship and has not featured for Barnsley since mid-November.
