Nicky Wroe is to stay at Bury for a second month after Barnsley agreed a request from the League Two strugglers.
Since arriving at Gigg Lane, Wroe has started four matches for Chris Casper's side and has made a good enough impression to have his loan spell extended.
Wroe has found first team opportunities scarce at Oakwell this season and having made just five starts, readily agreed to a sojourn away from Yorkshire.
The 21-year-old has proved to be an astute acquisition on Casper's part and his signing could yet prove integral to the club's bid to stave off the threat of the drop.
