Former England, Notts County, Sheffield Wednesday, Aston Villa and Hull City striker Jackie Sewell has died at the age of 89.
Sewell started out with Notts County in 1946, scored 104 goals in 193 matches, and helped the club win promotion from the Football League Third Division South in 1949-50.
In 1951 he left to join Sheffield Wednesday for a British transfer record of £34,500 and in his first season helped the Owls win promotion back to the top flight as champions.
Sewell went on to play 175 matches and score 92 goals at Hillsborough and earned his six England caps.
He joined Aston Villa for £20,000 in 1955, netting 40 times in 145 appearances, and won the FA Cup in 1957 before joining Hull two years later.
Sewell retired as a player in 1961 but pulled on his boots again to join City of Lusaka of Zambia as player-coach.
He came out of international retirement in 1964 to captain Zambia, playing 10 games and scoring seven goals.
