Michael Dawson is to rejoin Nottingham Forest when his contract with Hull expires in the summer.

Dawson, who has been capped four times by England, has agreed a two-year deal and will make the switch on July 1.

The 34-year-old defender came through the ranks of Forest's academy as a youngster, making his professional debut at the club in a 3-2 loss to Walsall in 2002.

He made almost 100 appearances for the club before joining Tottenham where he was part of the squad that won the League Cup in 2008.

Dawson, who has amassed over 300 Premier League appearances, joined Hull in 2014 and captained the side to promotion from the Championship via the play-offs in 2016.
