Ellison set for Hull switch

Chester City winger Kevin Ellison is set to complete a move to Hull City.

Chester City winger Kevin Ellison is set to complete a move to Hull City.

The 25-year-old has been the subject of a number of bids in recent weeks from Hull and The Tigers finally look set to seal a deal.

Hull have offered players within the deal and they have now been confirmed as Jonathan Walters and Richard Hinds.

"Ian Rush doesn't want Kevin to move and quite frankly, neither do I," said Chester chairman Stephen Vaughan.

"But the player has now requested a transfer, and because of a clause in his contract with us we have to allow him to talk to Hull.

"If personal terms are agreeable, then it looks as though the deal will go through."

Vaughan was seemingly happy with the two players due to come in the opposite direction.

"Walters was with Blackburn and Bolton, and was the subject of a £70,000 transfer earlier in his career," he said.

"Richard Hinds played for Tranmere, and is acknowledged to be one of the better defenders in the lower divisions."

Chester are still in talks with Luton Town over Dave Bayliss and Ian Hillier.
