Hull chairman Adam Pearson has no problem with Nick Barmby.Hull chairman Adam Pearson has revealed he is not disappointed that Nick Barmby was unhappy at being axed from the side.
Barmby is reported to have stormed out of the KC Stadium on Saturday after being informed he would not be in the team to play Derby.
Tigers boss Peter Taylor played down the reports, but Pearson insists he would have been disappointed if Barmby was not angry at being dropped from the side.
"Nick was one of three players dropped and he was the most disappointed of the three," Pearson said.
"But I'd be disappointed if Nick hadn't reacted like he did because it shows he cares.
"He's a Hull lad and it wasn't a case of him throwing his toy out of the pram.
"Peter made a tactical decision to play two tall centre-forwards in Chris Brown and Ben Burgess against a Derby defence who fielded a 5ft 9in centre-half.
"There is absolutely no rift between Nick and Peter and Nick trained with the rest of the squad this morning."
