Port Vale will not sanction the sales of Sam Collins and Billy Paynter.Port Vale chairman Bill Bratt insists he will not sanction the sales of Sam Collins and Billy Paynter until adequate replacements have been found.
A £200,000 combined offer has reportedly been put on the table by The Championship outfit but Bratt is anxious not to let two of the club's prized assets be sold.
Bratt has reassured manager Martin Foyle that he will only let the promising duo departure should he find suitable replacements.
''We've turned down down Hull's initial offer because we can't let anyone go without having suitable replacements ready to take their place,'' confirmed Bratt.
''That's what we are working towards and if and when that happens then we can see where the land lies for a deal. I can understand the players' position and if I was them then I'd like to play at a higher level and earn more money.
''But letting Sam and Billy go without suitable replacements would be futile.''
