The former Chelsea stopper has not featured since Leeds' embarrassing 3-0 defeat to Middlesbrough at Elland Road back in late January.
Despite the club's slide towards the relegation trapdoor, manager Eddie Gray has opted for Dominic Matteo and Steve Caldwell at the heart of the team's defence.
The Whites shipped in four against Birmingham last week, and anything other than a win against Leicester City on Monday could force Gray change his side.
The Scot wants Duberry to prove his fitness in the club's reserves, but the defender would rather be spending time at home than helping the fallen giants.
"I'm not happy sitting in the reserves at all," explained Duberry. "I'm not happy here playing reserve football. I don't want to be playing reserve football.
"I'd rather be sitting with my girlfriend rubbing her belly because we're going to have a baby soon.
"I'd rather be at home with her on a Tuesday night, but I've have got to do it.
"This is what Eddie wants me to do to prove myself, but I'm far from happy playing in the reserves.
"I've been fit and ready to play for the last two weeks and I'm just waiting until Eddie gives me the nod to play in the first team."
