Leeds United manager Kevin Blackwell wants to make two more signings.Leeds United manager Kevin Blackwell wants to make two more signings to strengthen his side's promotion hopes this season.
The Whites have already brought in Ian Bennett along with signing Rob Hulse permanently, while Dan Harding and Eddie Lewis will arrive on July 1.
Blackwell has lost Aaron Lennon's services to Tottenham meaning strengthening his right wing options is a must over the coming weeks.
Leeds have confirmed an interest in former Portsmouth winger Steve Stone while John Oster, who had a loan spell at the club last term, is also a surprise name in the frame.
"Steve is one player I have shown an interest in, but other clubs are interested as well," said Blackwell.
"The lads at Portsmouth were surprised to see him go so we will have to see what happens.
"I am looking for one or two more players to add to what I feel is a good squad. I am hopeful of there being a signing this week."
Meanwhile, striker Julian Joachim, who still has 12 months remaining on his Leeds deal, is unsure whether he will be playing for the club this season.
Joachim failed to find his top form at Elland Road after being in and out of the side and finished last term in fine form for League One outfit Walsall.
"I still don't know what's going to happen," said Joachim. "It's important to me to be playing week in and week out.
"I have to consider things and do what is right for myself. I am not ruling myself out of being involved during the season."
Meanwhile, an un-named Zimbabwean keeper has joined Hungary international Zsolt Baranyos on trial with the Elland Road club this week.Chairman Ken Bates has reacted swiftly to reports The Whites are up for sale by stating offers would not be welcomed by the board.
"I want to make it perfectly clear that Leeds United's owners have neither received an offer, nor would they encourage one," said Bates to the club's official website.
"Quite simply the club is not for sale."
