Oldham are yet to find out whether Sean Gregan has accepted their contract offer.
Oldham Athletic manager John Sheridan hopes to secure a permanent deal for on-loan defender Sean Gregan.
Gregan joined the League One outfit after falling victim to Leeds manager Dennis Wise's new regime at Elland Road, and was informed that he would not be involved in first-team plans with The Championship strugglers.
The 32-year-old has been an ever-present in Sheridan's Oldham side since making the switch, and kicked off his Latics career with a goal in their 4-3 FA Cup win over Kettering.
Oldham have also revealed that they are not the only club currently chasing Gregan's signature.
"Several other clubs, including some from The Championship, are also after him," revealed an Oldham spokesman.
"We've made him an offer and are waiting to hear from him.
"He likes the set-up here and we are expecting a decision some time next week."
