Healy flattered by Gers link

David Healy has revealed he is flattered to be linked with a move to Rangers.

Leeds striker David Healy has revealed he is flattered to be linked with a move to Rangers.

Rangers boss Walter Smith and coach Ian Durrant were interested observers during Northern Ireland's 2-1 win over Sweden in midweek.

Healy scored both goals in the win over Sweden fuelling speculation that Rangers were in Belfast to watch him in action.

Former Preston forward Healy admitted he was aware that Smith and Durrant were at the game and that he was flattered to be linked with a possible switch to Ibrox.

"Obviously, I know that Walter Smith and Ian Durrant were at the game," Healy told the Daily Record.

"Ian is a hero of mine from when I was young and it is flattering to be linked with a club such as Rangers."
