Brighton & Hove Albion are confident of extending the loan spell of Leeds United midfielder Ian Westlake.
Since moving to the Withdean Stadium earlier this month, Westlake has made six appearances for the League One play-off hopefuls.
His loan is due to expire after the 5th April meeting with Port Vale, but Brighton are optimistic of keeping Westlake until the end of the season.
"Ian has done very well for us since coming on loan and obviously we are keen to extend his stay," Brighton chairman Dick Knight told the club's official website.
"We are not under any pressure to conclude negotiations with Leeds ahead of (the) deadline as the player is already here on loan at Brighton.
"We have up until the Port Vale game to extend Ian's loan spell and I think it's distinctly possible we can achieve that."
Westlake is currently struggling with a calf injury, although he is ineligible to play in Saturday's fixture with parent club Leeds.
