Paul Huntington is unlikely to play for Leeds United anytime soon after suffering a recurrence of a niggling groin injury.
The former Newcastle stopper had been nearing a first-team comeback after completing his recovery from groin surgery - an injury that has troubled him for much of the campaign.
However, within weeks of manager Simon Grayson revealing the 21-year-old was close to a first-team return, he has suffered a fresh setback.
The former Blackpool boss confirmed following Leeds' 3-1 win over Peterborough on Saturday that Huntington has undergone surgery and is set for a new spell on the sidelines.
"He was recovering. He had a week's training with us and then he's had an operation on Friday because he's had a setback on his groin," stated Grayson.
"So he's going to be out for a few more weeks, maybe a couple of months again."
