Striker admits he always wanted to play for the Yorkshire side

Luke Varney has revealed that the chance of working for manager Neil Warnock made up his mind to make a dream move to Leeds United. The 29-year-old hit six goals in 28 starts for Portsmouth last season but was facing an uncertain future at the troubled League One side as they battle to stay in business. But Varney was handed a lifeline by Warnock and spoke of his happiness at putting pen-to-paper on a two-year deal at Elland Road "I'm delighted it's all complete," said Varney. "Once I'd spoken with the manager I couldn't wait. "I'm looking forward to working with him and this is a club I have always wanted to play for. "I know some of the lads here - those that I didn't know have been really welcoming. And you see the training ground and the support...hopefully we will have a good season."
