Rochdale secured their place in the third round after an entertaining 3-2 win over Bristol Rovers at Spotland.
Adam Barrett gave Rovers the lead after 19 minutes, but Clive Platt levelled matters for the home side in the 34th minute.
Paul Connor fired Rochdale in front for the first time three minutes after the restart, but the advantage only lasted three minutes as Paul Tait replied for the visitors.
The game looked set to be going into extra time until substitute Pat McCourt netted the winner for Rochdale ten minutes from time to set-up a trip to Preston in the next round.
Marcus Browning's last-minute goal gave Bouremouth a dramatic 3-2 win over Southend at Dean Court.
Steve Fletcher fired the home side in front six minutes before the break, but Tesfaye Bramble drew the visitors level three minutes later.
Southend then turned things on its head with Mark Rawle firing them in front right on the stroke of half time.
Substitute Derek Holmes equalised for the home side on 80 minutes just three minutes after coming off the bench.
The tie looked destined to go into an extra half hour until Browning popped up in the final minute to book Bournemouth's place in the third round and set-up a home clash with Crewe.
