Manager Steve Tilson even went as far as to signing comedian Terry Alderton, who starred in Sky One's The Match.
Alderton has been registered as a goalkeeper for the club he supports, but now he at least will not be needed to start a match.
Clarke has arrived on a month-long deal but Rovers have an immediate recall clause in the transfer.
