Southend United have signed former Arsenal goalkeeper Craig Holloway on loan.Southend United have signed former Arsenal goalkeeper Craig Holloway on a two-month loan from Conference club Farnborough Town.
The 20-year-old arrives at Roots Hall as cover for the injured Bart Griemink, who is sidelined for at least a fortnight after spraining both his knees against Notts County over a week ago.
Holloway will spend the next eight weeks with The Shrimpers, having made 27 appearances for Farnborough since joining them in the summer.
He started his career with The Gunners, but found first team opportunities to be at a premium during his time at Highbury.
Last spring, Holloway had trials with Queens Park Rangers and Colchester United before heading to Farnborough in June.
"Craig is coming in as cover, as Bart is going to be out injured for a few weeks," Shrimpers boss Steve Tilson told the club's official website.
"Flavs [Darryl Flahavan] has had his own injury problems over recent weeks, so we thought it best to get someone in just in case."
