Southend United have signed Grays Athletic midfielder Mitchell Cole.
Southend United have signed Grays Athletic winger Mitchell Cole for an undisclosed fee.The 19-year-old joins the Roots Hall club after a successful season with the Essex non-leaguers, having won the Conference South title with Grays.
The former West Ham United trainee has signed a two-year contract with The Shrimpers to become Steve Tilson's first signing of the close season.
"This is a double step up having come from Grays and I'm looking forward to kick starting my professional career," Cole told Southend's official website.
"Hopefully, Southend can do well this season and push for a place in The Championship."
