Rotherham want The Football League to look at the transfer of Jamal Campbell-Ryce.Rotherham United have asked The Football League to investigate the transfer of winger Jamal Campbell-Ryce to League One rivals Southend United.
The 22-year-old initially moved to Roots Hall on loan back in September - with a view to making his switch to the Essex outfit a permanent arrangement in the January transfer window.
The Millmoor club claim an agreement had been reached with The Shrimpers for the former Charlton Athletic man, with Rotherham having expected a fee of £117,000 for the winger.
However, the South Yorkshire club have yet to receive full payment from Southend and chairman Peter Ruchniewicz has called on The Football League to look into the matter.
"We are clear on the terms of the deal which allowed Jamal to join Southend when he did," Ruchniewicz told the club's official website.
"We are very disappointed that Southend now appear unwilling to honour that deal and have asked The Football League to carry out a full investigation into the transfer."
Ruchniewicz's claims seem to differ with those of Shrimpers boss Steve Tilson, who stated at the start of January that Rotherham were asking 'silly money' for Campbell-Ryce.
A Football League hearing on the matter is likely to be heard early next month.
