Yeovil Town boss Russell Slade has signed Southend United striker Wayne Gray.
Yeovil Town boss Russell Slade has signed Southend United striker Wayne Gray on a free transfer.
The former Wimbledon trainee ends a two-year spell with The Shrimpers, having helped the Essex club to the League One title last season.
The 25-year-old had attracted the interest of former loan club Brighton & Hove Albion and League One rivals Oldham Athletic.
Gray, however, has opted for a move to Somerset after signing a two-year contract with The Glovers this week.
Gray will look to fill the void left by the departure of Phil Jevons to West Country rivals Bristol City this summer.
Gray's arrival at Huish Park follows the news that three Yeovil Town trainees in Craig Alcock, Tom Clarke and Jake Smeeton have all signed one-year contracts with the club.
Alcock is a centre back, while Smeeton is a capable left back and Clarke is a striker.
All three will look to push for first-team places come next season.
