New Oldham boss Dave Penney has released three players as he continues with his planning for next season. Midfielders JP Kalala and Kevin Maher have been informed that their contracts will not be renewed, while striker Lee Hughes, who ended last season on loan at Blackpool, is also set to leave Boundary Park. On-loan duo Daniel Jones and Ian Westlake have returned to parent clubs Wolves and Cheltenham respectively, while veteran trio Mark Crossley, Andy Liddell and Sean Gregan have already moved on. Penny, who began work in his new post on Tuesday, is also set to hold talks with Mark Allott and Stefan Stam regarding their future.
