Goalkeeper stays at City Ground until 2012

Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Paul Smith has signed a new two-year deal at the club. The 30-year-old, signed from Southampton in 2006, is now committed to the Championship hopefuls until the summer of 2012. Smith is currently number two to Lee Camp in Billy Davies' side, but he is happy to pledge his future to the club. "It shows what the club think of me in offering me a contract extension and I was really pleased to sign," Smith told the club's official website. "I like the way the club is going at the moment, our performances and results show all the players are pushing each other to do better and that's no different with the goalkeepers."
