Southend goalkeeper Glenn Morris has signed a new contract keeping him at Roots Hall for another year.

The 27-year-old made 37 appearances for United this season, keeping 10 clean sheets, after arriving at Roots Hall from Leyton Orient last summer. "I am really pleased to get another player signed up for next season and the squad is really starting to take shape now," boss Paul Sturrock told the club's official website. "Obviously we are still working on bringing new players in also but that's early days as far as I'm concerned as things don't start to get moving for a couple of weeks yet."
