T&T trio attract Euro interest

T&T's Brent Sancho, Dennis Lawrence and Carlos Edwards have attracted Euro interest.

Trinidad & Tobago trio Brent Sancho, Dennis Lawrence and Carlos Edwards have been attracting interest from across Europe, according to their agent.

The Caribbean minnows have shocked the world with their performances against Sweden and England at the World Cup, and the efforts of their key men have not gone unnoticed.

The three plied their trade across The Football League last season with Edwards (pictured) at Luton Town in The Championship, Sancho at Gillingham in League One and Lawrence at Wrexham in League Two.

But their agent Mike Berry has suggested the trio could be set for lucrative moves elsewhere on the continent.

"I've had calls from European clubs, lots of calls from Germany and Austria," the agent stated.

"Carlos Edwards, Dennis Lawrence and Brent Sancho in particular, I've had a lot of calls about their status at their clubs.

"I've represented players in Trinidad for seven years and their profiles in these two games, particularly the England game, have put them right on the world map."

The Soca Warriors will need their players focused for the last Group B game against Paraguay on Tuesday though.

Should they beat the South Americans, they will need an English victory over Sweden to fully guarantee safe passage into the next round.
