Luton midfielder Richard Langley has revealed he will put club ahead of country in a bid to help The Hatters gain promotion to The Premiership.
The 26-year-old has been capped 12 times by Jamaica but has been left out of recent squads.
Langley moved to Kenilworth Road on a free transfer looking to get his career back on track after failing to win a new deal at Queens Park Rangers.
The former Cardiff City man has played in all eight of Luton's games so far this season and is enjoying his football under Mike Newell.
"It is a big honour to play for your country, but it is the domestic game which is far more important," Langley said.
"Coming to Luton in the summer has given me the opportunity to get my career back on track, and push on again.
"Luton have a realistic chance of moving forward this season, I don't really want anything to jeopardise that.
"I enjoyed some good times with Jamaica, but we will just have to wait to see what happens."
